The glory of God

Have you found yourself with a "word" or "idea" in our mind, that simply keeps coming back to you? Also every time you study/read something you are somehow able to connect this same idea to what you are studying?

Lately I have been experiencing that. Last sunday I shared with the children at my church about what God has been speaking to me about his character and his glory. The main passage we saw, God had this intimate relationship with Moses, in which they would talk to each other face to face, like a man talks to his friend (Exodus 33:11). It amazed me that God, the creator of the universe, who is Holy in his essence; would still reveal himself to mankind and would allow us to enter in his presence by calling us by name. I came to understand this God wants to participate with us in the exchanges of love that will make a profit for His kingdom.

This amazing God also calls us to display his glory among the nations, therefore he is not an egomaniac being, He wants us to experience his glory and share it to the world. Something I have been thinking about is that when we neglect this God, somehow we are declaring that we prefer the glory of this world and this earthly pleasure more than the glory of God. Sin is corruptive and it has severe consequences. However, there is good news in the personhood of God. This glorious God still wants to walk with us and to cover us with his presence, so we can better engage in his passion and in his kingdom.
